END USER TRAINING

Whether you are implementing SAP for the first time or it is a well-established platform, the expertise of your end users will determine how much benefit you realise. Productivity and data quality are both directly related to their understanding of what they are doing. Training needs to reflect your business processes and system configuration, so customised, classroom-based training, led by experienced instructors, is the most effective.

Initial Implementation Training

A new system can be daunting for end users. It is important that both material and approach are designed to give them confidence. We analyse your configuration and transactions, adapt our base material to reflect these and provide customised exercises. We give trainees an appreciation of how the system aspects that they use interact with others, and the implications on other functions of the data they enter. We show them shortcuts to make things easier and get them to feel comfortable as quickly as possible. Our aim is to create skilled and enthusiastic users, not just impart the basics.

Refresher Training

If your SAP system has been around a while, are you making best use of it? Over time, users tend to utilise only the basics, forgetting much of what they initially learned. Staff turnover may mean some users have only been trained by other users, with out of date or no training material. It is not uncommon for much of the functionality to be under-utilised, reporting to become tedious and data quality to be in decline. Users operate ‘parrot fashion’, affecting both productivity and motivation. We will assess how much they really know and how much system functionality is being utilised, design and develop customised training material, then deliver it in practical hands-on style. The result will be improved productivity, better morale and a greater return on your SAP investment.
